American Holidays
There is no person who doesn’t like holidays. My family lives all around the world. So often me and my parents celebrate holidays of other countries. Some of my relatives live in America and we went there few times for holidays and vacation.
My favorite one is Halloween. In October 31 all children put the costumes on and walk around asking for candy. Adults decorate the houses and gardens, put around skeletons and ghosts, lights. So every garden looks so unique and scary. This holiday is popular all around America and people are really crazy about it. It’s a lot of fun for children and adults.
Another great holiday is Independence Day. Americans celebrate it in July 4. I can say that people love and respect their country and traditions. Many big centers are decorated with flowers and American flags. This is the day when you can hear American anthem on TV or radio. It’s really interesting holiday that keeps people so much respectful to their nation, country and history.
The first of January all America celebrate New Year. Actually I think Christmas is more popular there but New Year is also very interesting and amazing. People give presents to each other and wish the best. And Christmas is a family holiday. They prefer to get all together for lunch. The whole family is decorating the house, garden and even streets.
Thanksgiving day is also one of the most favorite holidays. This is the time to stay with the family and to thank everyone for everything they have done for you. This holiday they celebrate on the last Thursday of November.
There are many different holidays in America. People there know and like to have fun. If you want to know the importance of these days for Americans you have to visit that country at least once.

Нет человека, который бы не любил праздники. Моя семья живет по всему миру. Поэтому очень часто я и моя семья отмечаем праздники вместе с другими странами. Некоторые мои родственники живут в Америке и мы ездили туда несколько раз на праздники и в отпуск.
Самый мой любимый праздник - Хеллоуин. 31 октября все дети надевают костюмы и гуляют по городу, выпрашивая конфеты. Взрослые украшают дома и свои дворы, развешивают скелеты, призраки и лампочки. Поэтому каждый двор выглядит таким уникальным и пугающим. Этот праздник популярен во всей Америке и люди его просто обожают. Дети и взрослые могут повеселиться в это время.
Ещё одним интересным праздником является день Независимости. Американцы отмечают его 4 июля. Люди очень любят и уважают свою страну и традиции. Большинство крупных центров украшены цветами и американскими флагами. В этот день вы будете часто слышать гимн Америки по телевидению или по радио. Это действительно захватывающий праздник, который заставляет людей уважать свою нацию, страну и историю.
Первого января вся Америка празднует Новый год. Вообще-то Рождество популярнее там, но Новый год тоже увлекателен. Люди дарят подарки и поздравляют друг друга. А Рождество - это скорее семейный праздник. Они собираются все вместе за обедом. Вся семья украшает дом, сад и даже улицу.
День Благодарения тоже является одним из любимейших. Это время побыть с семьёй и поблагодарить за все, что для вас делают. Этот праздник обычно отмечают в последний вторник ноября.
В Америке есть много разных праздников. Люди там умеют и любят веселиться. Если вы хотите прочувствовать важность праздничных дней, вам стоит съездить туда хотя бы однажды.
