Wonders of the World
What a beautiful world we live in. There are four seasons, oceans and deserts, days and nights but we get used to all these things already. We like to speak about something that we see so rare or we don’t see at all, for example wonders of the world.
There are 7 wonders of the world and I would like to tell you about them a little bit. We have heard about them but I hope that one day I will also see them. The Great Wall of China is one of these wonders. The length of this wall is 8850 km. People started to build this wall in 7 centuries BC and its building had been lasting for 2 centuries. Scientists say that many people were buried under that wall during building.
Chichen Itza is another place that I would like to visit. It’s another wonder of the world. They are pyramids that you can find in Mexico. The most notable of them is “The Castle” with height of 24 meters.
In Jordan you will find Petra which is located in the valley among mountains and cliffs. It was purported to be one of the places where Moses struck a rock and water gushed forth. Archeologists haven’t had interest to this place for a long time, only in 20 centuries they started to explorer the place. But today there are still many things unclear about Petra.
There is one more interesting place for people in Peru. Machu Picchu is a place where according the legend ancient Inca lived. It is located on the mountain of more than 2000 meters.
Taj Mahal is another wonder of the world. People from all over the world come to India to see this castle. According history Indian imperor Jahan built this place in honor of his beloved wife in 17 century.
A huge amphitheater Colosseum you can see in Italy. About 50 thousand spectators were able to stay here inside to see different events, especially gladiators fights.
There is a colossal statue of Christ in Brazil, Christ the Redeemer. The height of the statue is 30 meters. It’s the largest Art Deco monument in the world.

В каком же красивом мире мы живём. В природе есть 4 сезона, которые сменяют друг друга, океаны и пустыни, дни и ночи. Мы часто говорим о том, что редко видим или не видим вообще, например, о чудесах света.
Есть 7 чудес света и я хотел бы рассказать о них немного. Я часто слышал о них и надеюсь, однажды увижу.
Великая Китайская Стена - одно из чудес. Ее длина составляет 8850 км. Строительство ее началось в 7 веке до н.э и продолжалось долгих 2 тысячелетия. Ученые говорят, что многие люди, которые возводили ее, похоронены под стеной.
Чичен Ица - ещё одно место, которое я бы посетил. Это ещё одно чудо света. Это мексиканские пирамиды. Самая примечательная пирамида называется «Крепость», ее высота составляет 24 метра.
В Иордании вы найдёте город Петра, в долине среди гор и обрывов. Считается, что это то самое место, где Моисей ударил камень, а оттуда хлынула вода. Археологи не интересовались этим местом долгое время, а в 20 веке начали исследовать его. Но сегодня Петра хранит ещё много тайн.
И в Перу есть примечательный город для любопытных туристов. Мачу Пикчу - это место, где согласно легенде, жили древние инки. Город расположен на горе высотой 2000 метров.
Тадж Махал тоже стал чудом света. Люди со всего мира приезжают в Индию, чтобы увидеть этот замок. Согласно историческим фактам, замок был возведён императором Джаханом в честь его любимой жены в 17 веке.
Огромный амфитеатр Колизей вы увидите в Италии. Около 50 тыс зрителей он вмещал когда-то. Здесь проводились разные мероприятия, включая гладиаторские бои.
А в Бразилии есть огромная статуя Христа-Искупителя. Ее высота составляет 30 метров. Эта статуя считается самым большим памятником Арт-Деко.
